Descrizione / Description: Serie di gouaches del Vesuvio dedicate al “Mon petit retour (MPR)” dall’autrice Adriana Pignatelli. Il MPR è un viaggio nel viaggio e consiste nella personale rivisitazione attuale, degli stessi luoghi delle immagini e dei testi letterari e scientifici che spinsero i viaggiatori del Grand Tour ad impegnarsi in una non semplice spedizione. I colori sono sgargianti, molto contrastati. Ogni luogo del MPR, porta con sé la reminiscenza della natura vulcanica e della storia che lo ha plasmato, confronto affascinante tra il passato e la reinterpretazione contemporanea del paesaggio attuale, deprivato dai segni della modernità / Series of gouaches of Vesuvius dedicated to ‘Mon petit retour (MPR)’ by author Adriana Pignatelli. The MPR is a voyage within a voyage and consists of a personal reinterpretation of the same places as the images and the literary and scientific texts that prompted the Grand Tour travellers to embark on a not easy expedition. The colours are bright, highly contrasted. Each place in the MPR, brings with it the reminiscence of the volcanic nature and history that has shaped it, a fascinating confrontation between the past and the contemporary reinterpretation of the present landscape, stripped of the signs of modernity.
