Scilla è ancora oggi un crocevia, che riecheggia la memoria di antiche rotte e visioni leggendarie / Scilla, overlooking the Strait of Messina, is one of the most evocative places in Calabria. Linked to the Homeric myth of the sea monster, it enchanted Grand Tour travelers in the 18th and 19th centuries with its wild nature and its atmosphere suspended between legend and reality. The village of Chianalea, with its houses on the sea and boats moored beneath the windows, tells an ancient story of fishing and the sea. Ruffo Castle rises atop the rocky promontory, while Sicily can be glimpsed on the horizon. Scilla still stands as a crossroads, echoing with the memory of ancient routes and legendary visions
